TECHNOLOGY
In the ATON-HT company it has been worked out a microwave, mobile installation which is to remove organic impurities effectively from mineral materials (like ceramic elements, soil, etc.)
ATON 200 HR reactor has wide application in the utilization of hazardous wastes. After the purification these materials can be used without any danger for the human beings and environment. What is also important their functional qualities are preserved. In the result of utilization process there is a possibility of tail gas forming inside the reactor. To reduce danger the company has worked out a device MOS which will utilize harmful substances in gas products.

- Possibility of bringing up any dielectric materials to a temperature of 1200ºC (rousting).
- Possibility of the temperature precise control inside the reactor (stabilization of temperature).
- Very short time of the installation starting (temperature of 1000ºC is reachable after 20 minutes).
- Rousting process could be operate in controlled atmosphere, for example in the reactor filled with air (in waste burning) or with inert gases (in the heat treatment without oxidation).
- Work in rotational mode (provides continuous mixing of the reactor contents, what is increasing possible contact with oxide from the air, additionally heat is distributed uniformly).
- Possibility of nesting active centers in the catalyst carrier in the form of granulated ceramics (depending on wastes qualities, using the appropriate catalyst could accelerate reducing the temperature or even enable reducing danger connected with toxic compounds created in undesirable reactions of thermal condensation)
- Research of hazardous wastes utilization shows promising 99% loss of harmful organic compounds.
The system can be used in many fields thanks to it’s flexibility and easy control of three basic process parameters: temperature, quantity and quality of provided atmosphere and time spent in reaction zone.
The working element of ATON 200 HR reactor is rotational, ceramic drum seated in a steel frame. Usually axis of rotation is located horizontally, however in special cases there is a possibility to change surface to vertical. Wave-guides placed axially and radial provide the necessary energy. Wave-guides are concentrating electromagnetic field to affect the treated material. Such solution guarantees high efficiency of the device. Application of many power oscillators has additionally one advantage: it allows to precisely control the temperature profile in whole working drum.

Complete mobile system (apart from reactor and power unit) consist of monitored control system and cooling system. Devices which load and receive converted material are selected depending on utilized wastes’ type.

Wastes of high biologic risk are utilized thermally. Combustion of wastes is connected with decrease of their volume and mass. This method has an economic reason because of possibility of recovering the heat produced in the combustion process.
We can divide the wastes utilization technology in 3 groups:
• Low-temperature pyrolysis, that is realized in the temperature below 800ºC and further products’ after-burning in similar temperature,
• Combusting in the temperature from 800 to 1200ºC and further gas products’ after-burning,
• Using the low temperature plasma technology, electrical enriched in range of temperatures 4000-9000ºC.
It is necessary to observe some regulations in ecologically safe process of thermal utilization. There are:
appropriate selection and identification of quantitative and qualitative composition of wastes, homogenization and size reduction of reactive charge, temperature profile in the reactor, soaking time, gas atmosphere composition in the reactor, appropriate conditions for complete combustion.
In case of reactor ATON 200 HR the ATON-HT company dispose of process technology within the framework of two procedure mentioned at the beginning.

Research of the level of organic impurities removal in the reactor.Investigation made on prototype device shows promising results. It has been investigated a possibility of utilization organic impurities present in mineral matter, for which capacity of neutralization exceeds 99%. Moreover there were made some investigation on rendering wastes with carcinogenic asbestos fibers harmless. Thanks to this research it was possible to level crystalline fibrous structures and obtain valuable product that isn’t harmful for a living beings.
